Love Finland shows you why you, and I, should love Finland occasionally.
Sun just wouldn't set. You stay up all night watching a film after another with thousands of others. The tents fill up at most unexpected times, someone snores and a some giggle, but nothing gets you annoyed enough to ruin the magic. The next morning you force yourself awake up by swimming in a river, and start again.
This June I visited one of the most Northern festivals in the world, Midnight Sun Film Festival in Sodankylä, Finnish Lapland. It's a festival that makes you cry over and over again. The best part is the fresh green nature of Lapland at a time the mosquitos aren't awake and hunting yet.
